I don't know what the politicos have in mind. But here's my take.
To be We the People.
Restore Constitution.
Actual help for handicapped, mentally ill,and seniors. And the returning injured Vets.
Educating the young people. Not teaching them how to take government tests.
Health care. Equal and for all.
True separation of church and state.
Religious freedom
No legislation of perceived morality
Research and implementation of alternative energies.
Get the hell out of the Middle East.
Replace the kill em all mentality with one of diplomacy first.
I know there is more I just can't think of it at the moment.
So there it is.. Agree/disagree doesn't matter .

How about instead of tearing down what the other party does, why don't we see what makes each party great and work to make our country better.

The more we fight with each other the more our country weakens. What happen to fighting the politicians? It should be the people versus the politicians. Instead they have us fighting each other while they do whatever they want and then both sides stick up for all the crap that they do.

How many of us really feel represented by their congressperson or senator? Let's fight to get people in office who we feel will do a great job instead of who we think will do less damage than the last guy. Let's make our politicians work for us instead of a small group of people.

Re-education camps .
You first need to learn an honest trade of some sort .
You will no longer have the government to employee you and subsidies your income . Wall street and the federal reserve will be gone and states will coin money .
This will mean we no longer have insurance companies and communities will need to chip in and do the job . When your neighbors house burns you will take them in and help them rebuild .
The local mills and supply houses will provide the materials and volunteers will rebuild the homes .
This is because all the members of the community will be involved in caring to see that everyone is ok and has enough . That hoarding and profiting are gone for good and people are once again free to pursue the arts and still have a home to live in .

Peace and safety would be the global goal.

balanced budget and health would be the national goals

I was going to be a wise a*s at first and be like "it's just 4 more left turns till we are there... but at least it's better than the 4 right turns the Republicans took".. but I noticed you wanted a serious answer.

as far as the goals I have listed.. those are the idealistic goals.. we don't expect to attain peace and true safety.. but we are going to try.. that sort of thing.

Well, both liberals and conservative politicians are taking us there because they know what the other is doing. How long will people still believe that they care about the people. They only care about being voted into office and getting a paycheck.

From the looks at some of these answers the socialist conversion is near completion. I wonder why any soldier in this country would bother to lay down their life to keep any of the people free when they are trying to throw their freedoms away faster than we can save them. They aren't worth it.
