because we fell in love and wanted to share all of our lives experiences with each other and we liked being with each other and we still do. and we are happier being with each other then we were being alone

The first time I was only 17 and that was for my parents. I suffered a lot of physical abuse. The second time I was 20 thought was for love (he was 13 yrs. older) and I suffered mental abuse. The third time I was 33 and it was for love only to find myself being married to a drug addict and a cheater. The fourth time I was 43 and was for love and he was a bigger cheater then all three put together. I give up I think I'll just stay single the rest of my life. I would rather be alone then be subjected to all of the above ever again.

Lord only knows! Young and stupid I guess.
I suppose its because I love him, I wouldn't still be with him if I didn't, but wow, 12 long years, too many lost jobs, unfaithfulness, just to mention a few, all of those things will really change the way you look at your spouse...

Because he asked me to marry him for 8 years and the financial security is great but most importantly: I love him.

I was way too young and way too dumb. I was raised against divorce, and I am ashamed of it, but what do you do? If there is ever a next time, it will be the last time. It's not something to take forgranted. It is really supposed to be forever.
