I just got a squirtle egg from a friend and I wanted to know what great moves I can teach it once he lvls up more.

Blastoise:
#1 Earthquake- EQ because it's a good sweeper move, it takes care of Electric types, and it's more effective than Dig.
#2 Ice Beam- Ice Beam because it takes care of Grass types, fits in with Water type Pokemon, and it has more accuracy and PP than Blizzard.
#3 Hydro Cannon- Do I need to explain?
#4 Toxic- Although at first it only takes away a little HP, after a while it suddenly takes away half the opponent's HP away! Remember this: NEVER, EVER underestimate the power of status inflicting moves. Sometimes they can just win you the battle.

Blastoise is a very good eater type seeing how it can learn a few non water moves. The best moveset for it would be
Surf
Ice Beam
Hydro Pump
Dig
Dig will take care of the electric Types BLastoise hates, and Ice Beam will take care of the Grass types he also hates.

I have one in Diamond, and the best movest would be either:
Hydro Pump OR Hydro Cannon
Eartquake OR Dig
Ice Beam OR Aurora Beam
Skull Bash OR any other SUPERPOWERFUL physical move....I got thought the Elite 4 with moves like this at level 47....oh yah

Try Surf, Earthquake, Ice Beam, and Skull Bash. You're going to want to get it a Power Herb if possible, as it will allow you to use Skull Bash in one turn, instead of two.

lv 5? he'll learn hydra pump
at 2 island put blastoise in front and teach him the move hydro cannon
so you should teach him Hydro pump, Hydro cannon , surf ,icebeam
