Then all she does it use it all to her advantage. I really hate this job but the only thing I have right now to pay my bills. How am I suppose to handle such situation? You only have 2 (two) options:

1. Have proper self respect and start job hunting and ask for interviews after work hours like anaise told u. When you find a new one, you are more than free to follow jesse's advice :) Good advice, jesse. I can imagine the boss' face when our friend here follow your advice. What ever she will look alike, that face would be priceless!

2. You need to get your coworkers together and all write favorable reviews on each other (like j said). But, you have to be careful to gather ONLY the most trusted ones and NOT even 1 wrong person, otherwise this wrong person will surely backstab you!

There is one more thing to be noted. As long as you work for a company, there are only 2 (two) rules to obey:
1. Your boss is always right
2. If you are in doubt, go back to Rule#1
If you really hate your job, then u ought to consider job hunting since it would be very difficult for people to perform well in the jobs they hate.

Wish u all the best, my friend.

I stab her back and try to devise some insidious little ploy to make her look bad! But that is such a terrible, moronic thing to do; but it seems so natural, and makes you feel so good to even think about it. So, follow some of these other people's great advise because this is the time when you should have enough self-respect to rise above the quagmire of self-serving deceit and feel sympathy for those who get sucked in. Speak well of your co-workers, even the low-lives who don't deserve it; and if you're own admirable behaviour doesn't influence everyone to feel less than human, then you're in the wrong place, man; it is pertinent that you do what you have to do, but get the hell out of Dodge!

Job is Job, if you change the job then new job will have some other problems issues. Confront her, manipulate her, play the game. But before all that make sure you have a another job in hand if you want to play the game.

Boss is doing exactly what she thinks she is supposed to do as boss. Just learn o be a little manipulative and create a group of staff who feel the same. Then play your game.
It's a game play it if you can find new job easily in case you get fired.

I think your boss needs some lessons on privacy. I don't understand how he/she can expect you to make decisions on fellow workers and then use them in a non-professional manner. To do what she asks is a supervisors job. I don't mean to sound sexist, but she reminds me of a lot of female bosses I have. Is there a higher authority to go to because this sounds like on the job harassment, but you will probably be stuck with her. I would seriously begin looking for a new job. It sounds as if you are in a non-win situation. This is one boss you don't want to work for. If the company approves this behavior, this is definitely not a company you want to work for.

Work on your resume and start hitting the bricks. There are too many good jobs out there to have to put up with this BS. Sounds worse than the military.

Choose to say only positive things about your co-workers.
If your boss presses you for a negative comment, give a lighthearted answer, "Ok, I think that it's pathetic the way 'X' works so danged hard for so little money. She deserves a lot more than what she gets."

Bottom line: There has to be players for a game to work. Don't be a player.

The ideas about getting together with your coworkers are not bad ideas either. If there are no players, then the game is over.

I have a question? Why do you feel obligated to stick with a job that you are unhappy with just because you have bills right now? So does everyone else. Start job hunting and ask for interviews after work hours or the weekends. Make sure you have something to offer to as it should reflect on your resume.

im guessing you could try to be very neutral when you do the reviews... make the positive comments VERY positive while the negative ones kind of vague, followed or started with a tiny little compliment... but if she has an evil mind then she can always twist it... this is a no win situation...

Get together and create reviews that enable each other, taking the advantage out of her hands.

next time, have a one-on-one with your boss who is the back stabbing human, parpare your inners for a big explosion, n make sure the door is closed, and blow one of the loudest, smellest farts that you have ever produced. Sit and smile at your boss, and say...."im sorry, did you say something".

You need to get your coworkers together and all write favorable reviews on each other. Maybe she'll figure out that her tactic is not working! Best to you all! ;-)=
