Here's a question. If the terrorists who have already murdered thousands of Americans are openly backing one political party in our country, along with several specific presidential candidates, all because they know these people will give them victory, shouldn't we as Americans NOT vote for those people? I feel that this is just good common sense and generally pretty sound logic. What do you think?

It works both ways too. Here's a link to a democrat praising Bin Laden. And you thought it was only Michael Moore and Maher......

One more thing; does anyone else find it funny that I never mentioned the Democrats yet that's who everyone assumed I was refering too..... That speaks volumes to my question in itself.

Heidi,
You'll notice that in my original question I never mentioned which party or who I was talking about. The Democrat comment came some time AFTER the question was asked and the answers were reviewed.

I think we should pay attention to EVERYTHING our enemy says and does. 9/11 style attacks happen when we don't. Remember Mein Kompf by Hitler? It outlined everything he planned to do to gain power and rid the world of the Jews. No one tool him seriously..... See a connection there?

Additionally, if you think that going to the Al Jazeera website will cause the CIA and FBI to start poking around in your life you clearly don't know what the Patriot Act really is and what it makes possible. It also tells me that those Libs have got you just hopping mad over something you don't understand. I honestly don't think you're a fool, I actually find you rather intelligent. However, you should research the Patriot Act before you make comments that make you look foolish.

Both!!
Are you talking of the ones who would gain politically with our failure and would sacrifice victory for the bragging rites?

The terrorist are not naive enough to believe they can achieve a battlefield victory. Political division is their goal.

Let me get this staright...we shouldn't be concerned about popularity polls in the US with regards to the presidency, but we should be concerned with polls of the TERRORISTS?

EDIT: Just thought I would do you a favor and copy and paste your question...

It works both ways too. Here's a link to a democrat praising Bin Laden. And you thought it was only Michael Moore and Maher......

Which then was followed up with

One more thing; does anyone else find it funny that I never mentioned the Democrats yet that's who everyone assumed I was refering too..... That speaks volumes to my question in itself.

How do you know that the terrorists arent supporting specific candidates knowing you'll respond that way?

Bush has been a godsend for the terrorists groups, their ranks are swelling as long as we're in the Middle East. If their cause really is more important than their own life (which is very likely), then this is helpful to them and Bush and his type are the ones to support by pretending to support others.

Logical fallacy. First and foremost, no party wants to give "victory" to terrorists. Thus, your conclusion is pointless.

Of course, I could use a bit of "spin" myself and make it such a way that the terrorists really want a GOP victory so their "jihad" can continue and with a Republican president in power, there will be more American soldiers being sent to their deaths by the hands of these terrorists. After all, isn't that what terrorists really want? More blood shed in the name of Allah. See the flaw in your uncommon sense?

Common sense is in short supply in this country as of late.
I think it would benefit us as a whole to not cater to the enemy.

One problem with your logic. Too many Americans are sympathetic to those terrorists and see Bush as the murderer. It fits their moral and ethical creed to vote for those candidates.

You are correct! We must not sympathize with terrorists.
