My friend is spending a day in London on his way from Yorkshire to Cornwall. He'll have two large suitcases. He's staying in a hostel and doesn't want to leave them unattended there but on the other hand we can hardly drag them round London the whole day. Is there anywhere safe he could leave them?

Every railway station in London has a left luggage office. It cost £5-6 per item for 24 hours.

leave them with the reception of his hostel and get your friend to pay them a token to look after his stuff and or leave them with the receptions of big hotels for a decent fee.
