It seems Y!A atheists like James F and Trouble Maker love to denounce religion (i.e. Christianity only. No insults on Islam though, and we all know why.)

They seem to think they know everything and they have all the answers and anyone who believes in God is a fool in need of an atheists guidance.

So, should I discard my Bible, give up on my church and embrace monkey ancestors and Darwinism?

Your thoughts are most generously appreciated.

**Yeah, I know this is the Politics section, but James F and trouble maker frequently spout their atheist views on here and so I want them to see this question**

There is nothing wrong with religion, you need to belief in something right. Atheists believe in no God, which they have a right to.

However when it comes to Organized religion then there is something wrong with that.

Wars are fought over religious beliefs by radical mulisms, Christianity and their holy wars. How often do you see wars fought over theories in science.

Maybe the world maybe better if you were all atheists, maybe not. I believe in a higher power but I don't believe in organized religion, because I don't believe that we should be living our lives in fear of something that we really can't prove is going to happen from information that is thousands of years old written by man.

First, let me state that I am agnostic. I am undecided, but i feel that it is not necessary to decide if there is or isn't a God. However let me get to your question:

That would be bad. Religion (for the most part) helps keep the world going and helps keep peace. It teaches people proper morals; people that cannot recognize what is right and what is wrong. Religion is necessary to keep mankind going. The vast majority of people are not smart enough to realize that we must all work together and do good in order to benefit society. Without religion, people would be killing others nonstop because they would not be able to realize the harmful effects on the human race of their actions

The world would be a better place if we all tried to understand each other a little better.Try to understand where the other is coming from. That goes for the atheists in your example but also for you and for me too I'm sure.
Atheists are treated very harshly in your question and in America in general.Maybe if you could have empathy for how it is for them, you would better understand why they do what they do and say what they say.
As others pointed out you actually use the bible to insult a whole group of other people while that same bible tells you to not judge,do good to those who harm you.No one is perfect...

Great bible quote...I've used it many times...the Holy Spirit is the only thing at this time which is restraining evil in this world....I feel sorry for those who do not have the Holy Spirit in their hearts. I've noticed the agitation of those who proclaim themselves atheist....I wouldn't trade the peace in my heart for their "intelligent" mind for anything in this world....they have been given over to their folly...This would will one day be a world of atheists...one day the church will not be in this world.....then it will be too late....the time is now people....don't wait another day....for tomorrow is promised to no one.....Pick up the Word of God and read with an open mind.............

I've basically placed their ignorant questions and comments on ignore, when it comes to Christianity.

We're all entitled to our own feelings when it comes to religious matters and I have no disrespect for atheists. They too are entitled to believe what they want.

I do disrespect those who continue to tear other people down, belittle them and do nothing more but end up displaying to everyone as to the fools that they truly are. The constant shredding and badgering makes them look bad and not those of us who can accept each other for what we believe in.

Ignore them.

Dude... anger is not helping you find your way...The Bible is not a book by man seeking a lost God,It is by God seeking lost men. And truly is not atheism a religion based on denial of anothers belief. We are not a religious people looking for spirituality so much as we are spiritual beings in a religious world....Maybe even they (see above) are just lost a little...I know I sure am...

No, but what's the point of your quote?

"Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good"

Oh yes, all atheists are corrupt fools that have never done anything good for anyone. If you're going to use your Bible to insult people, maybe you should discard it.

The world is a good place when everyone is able to think and worship (or not) in a way that makes sense to them.

I choose to belive in God. I am not a raving maniac. I also believe in science. I am not a lemming and I think for myself. Everyone should have the right to do what works for them as long as it does not hurt anyone else.

Wisdom comes from the God. Atheists are fools in need of God.

I wouldn't bet on it. After all where will we come up with our standards if we don't believe in a higher power? Man? What if man can't agree on what the standard should be?
