More specifically...
I will be flying into Manchester and I need to get to a suburb of Boston, Middleboro. I will have NO car!
There is a Manchester free Shuttle but I'm a country girl and feel uncomfortable taking a three different subway rides, shuttle buses and commuter rails. What would be the easiest way?
Is there a bus that goes from Manchester to Providence? Or from Manchester to the south train line?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated!
Thanks,
Jessi (and my 8 month old son who will be travelling with me... that makes it ten times harder, huh?)

I have to go through Manchester because I have a free ticket with Southwest Airlines and that's the closest they get to Boston. BAH, I know! :)

Check that comfort zone of yours!!!
The subway and train connections are EASY!!
(By the way, it would be harder to get from Providence to Middleborough without a car than it is from Manchester).
Take the free shuttle bus all the way to the Orange Line subway. Thence the Orange Line only to Downtown Crossing (only 5 stops), switch to the Red Line only one stop to South Station and the Middleborough train.
It IS the easiest way!!!!!!!! For sure.

You've got a ways to go. Middleborough is to the south. Are you sure you can't rebook to go into Providence, or Logan for that matter? Much closer airports to Middleborough than Manchester.
Easiest way would be to take an airport limo, but cost will be an issue.
The Manchester Free shuttle drops you off at Sullivan Square. Pick up the Orange Line to South Station, then take the Lakeville/Middleborough commuter train. Not overly complicated, except for your bags and the 8 MO.

If you HAVE to fly into Manchester I would suggest taking a taxi to the local Concord Trailways Bus Station ($14 the bus does NOT pick up at the airport.)
-Then you would have to take a bus to South Station (Here is the bus schedule: http://www.concordtrailways.com/concord_manchester_bus_schedule_mf.htm ) A bus ride from there to South Station will cost you $11 and your son rides for free.
-From there go to the commuter rail (in same building as you get off) and you'll want to get on the middleborough/lakeville train.

Concord Trailways to Boston, then Bonanza Bus Lines/Peter Pan to Providence, both of which operate out of South Station in Boston. That's the easiest way I can think of AND you can travel on one ticket through routed to your destination.

For Middleboro - Providence, RI would significantly closer than Manchester, NH. There is no easy way to get from Manchester to Middleboro using public transportation.
Southwest flies into Providence too.

the trailways/peter pan bus goes from manchester airport to downtown boston. I don't believe south station is not too far.but you may want to call trailways boston to find out for sure.
