I also know a few people that cant read at all.
And some that barely get by.
And they are all High School Graduates...
How does that happen?
I gave a Birthday card to a friend, I had no idea he couldnt read. He said thanks and went to walk away. I said, oh I really want you to open it now. He did, and pretended to read it.. He didnt say much and said thanks and walked away. My hubby then told me, that he couldnt read. I was so embarrased for myself and for him....
Its sad really sad......

Yes - a few actually. I have had to read tests to employees. I also know a couple of home-schooled people that don't read or write much above 2nd grade level.
