I thought it was an excellent book and a great ending to the story.....at least the part about Harry and Voldemort. I don't like that she didn't go into further details about what everyone was doing later on. Did Harry and Ron become Aurors? What about Draco; did he turn out to be a good person, or did he keep trying to ruin Harry? Who was the new Dark Arts teacher? Too many unanswered questions.

I loved it! It tied up loose ends for me... especially given that I was very upset at the way book 6 turned out...

It kept in tune with the way Rowling has been writing.
It made sense that people would die, given the awful battle at hand.

It just really tied up everything from book 1 to book 7. I was very pleased with the last book and the ending.

One thing I kind of wish could have maybe been developed more, was the budding and unexpected friendship between Dudley and Harry.

But everything else was right on target... I felt like, especially with the epilogue, the story was ended and satisfactorily at that.
Unlike with the Lord of the Rings... after I finished The Return of the King, I wanted more Middle Earth. Fortunately, Tolkien provided that in his other writings... but with Harry Potter, I feel like I know the story and it ended and that's that. Likely, though, I will start at book 1 again and read them all the way through, one after the other, so that I can remember what I'd forgotten and see the WHOLE, enjoyable story straight through, beginning to end, without the interruptions of years in between.

Omg first off i would like to say i love Harry Potter. I thought that it was a great way to end the series. There were many twists and turns i had never expected. However I would have liked to see more of Hogwarts, and Ginny, Neville, Seamus ect... I also thought the epilogue was a bit disappointing, not that I didn't like it, I just would have liked to see more of what happened to everyone else. JK Rowling left us with many empty promises including that we would see the hogwarts teachers spouses, and learn more about the veil and ghosts. I could go on for hours telling you what i liked and didn't like about it, so I am just going to stop now or else I will end up writing way too much.

I loved it. I really enjoyed Ron and Hermione's first kiss and the Epilogue. Like someone else said, it would have been nice to see more about Dudley and Harry's developing friendship and to learn what Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny did for work. I would also have liked to have 'met' Hermione's parents. I, however, unlike most everyone else, still don't like Snape. He may have had a horrible childhood, but he was still the one thing Neville feared more than anything else (remember the Bogart.). He was also very friendly to Voldemort and the Malfoys, but treated all the Griffindor's like they were mud on the bottom of his shoes. He was not a nice person. Yes, he killed Dumbledore, because Dumbledore asked him to and he loved Lily, but I still was not at all sad when Voldemort killed him. The saddest parts for me were when Dobby, Hedwig, and Fred (poor George!) died. I cried once (when Harry saw his mom and she told him, "You are so brave.") Wonderful book!

I thought some of it was very dramatic. It was well done, but I would have liked to see how everyone died, and made it more clear who did. She could have spent a little less time on the "camping" parts. I also wish there was a bit more Harry/Ginny action before he left.
Other than that it was a great succsess, I loved it so much. But of course I'm devestated that it's over, but of course I'm looking forward to JKR decision about the encyclopedia. I can't wait to see what the background lives were for everybody!!!

a million. I loathed him for being so propose to Harry in the 1st couple books, yet after OotP, i think of i began out wisdom him extra 2. I even have genuinely no theory yet i think of the clarification he had come to look after Harry is by way of the fact he became into doing it for Lily 3. Snape did no longer comprehend Harry became into extra like his mom than his father. 4. No; Dumbledore is lots to smart for that; he would have seen by way of it. There had to be an evidence. 5. I actually can no longer bear in concepts. i think of I form of became into. Cuz Snape became into somewhat propose to Harry yet Lily became into this manner of type guy or woman. 6. Oooh reliable question. i'm no longer able to make certain Snape actually being super to Harry. it would in all probability be very awkward. 7. in all probability. Snape would have concept Harry became into extra like his mom then. 8. in all probability 9. possibly an "i'm sorry"? 10. i did no longer the 1st time I study it yet I did the 2nd time.

Merlin's pants!

Just had to say it. It was a good last book. Now I am interested in whether J. K. Rowling will let other authors write in her world (not about Harry, but other stories) while she goes on to something else or whether it will continue to be hands off.

I was actually really surprised on how J.K Rowling had Ron, Hermoine and Harry live like how they lived in a tent and moved from place to place. Also, I was really devasted when Dobby died and also whne Fred died. But over all it was and excellent book.

The ending was slightly disappointing, but I like how there were a lot of individual climaxes in it, ike when they went to the Ministry and Godrics Hollow.
