Do you step on or avoid drain covers, especially grills?

I avoid them because I fear my massive girth will cause them to give way at which point I will fall into the hole. But, I won't fall down into the sewer. My corpulence will lodge me right in there. So I'll just be a fat mushy torso sticking up into the street. It’s just not good.

I avoid them and I also avoid those metal doors that lead to basements of stores because my aunt was walking over one and a man opened the door from the inside and she flew halfway across the street. SO I avoid all drain covers and metal covers.

I avoid them since I saw that Stephen King movie "IT" where that evil clown lives in the sewers. I didn't really care for walking on them even before that though. It's just one of those random phobias I guess, and pretty common judging from these answers!!

I step around them. I know I wont fall in but I still avoid them all the same.

I avoid them I don't wanna fall through it. I saw it on a reality show that someone stepped on a grate on the sidewalk and it fell through and they got hurt.

I always step over them because I have this fear of falling down one. I think it's because when I was younger I vaguely remember Baby Jessica falling down a mine or hole or something, and ever since that I have been scared. lol

Funny enough yes I avoid them, too many germs and cockroaches near those things .
