This book is a great one....
Its called 'The 7 habits of highly Effected Teens' By Sean Covey.

I think this should be the first book teenagers should read before any other book....
Bieng a teenager is both wonderful and challenging. In the 7 Habits of Highly affected teens, author Sean Covey applies the timeless principles of the 7 habits to teens and the tough issues and life-changing decisions they face. In an entertaining style, Covey provides a step-by-step guide t help teens improve self image , build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve for goals, get along with there parents, and much more. In addition, this book is stuffed with cartoons, clever ideas, great quotes, and incredible stories about real teens from all over the world. The 7 habits of highly effected teens will engage teenagers unlike any other book!
LIke if someone became a teenager around these few days, this should be the first book to read because it talks about the Habits of highly effected teens. Sometimes they show little funny comics about teens and stuff, its awesome!
You should read this book! Its very good!

Well hoped I helped sweetie and have a greatd day!

The Non-Blonde Cheereader books by Kieran Scott are my absolute favorite teen books. The gossip girl books are really good too. If you are into fantasy I would try the book Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and Harry Potter is always a favorite.

There are hundreds and hundreds of good books for teens... books written with teen readers in mind, and also books written with teen and older readers in mind.

My mind was flooded with book titles when I started to answer this question, and my A.D.D. kicked in and I had a hard time listing just a few. So, I took the libertry to go and find some prepared lists of books for you to browse. So PLEASE check out these links (I'll add specific other titles, if they are not already on any of these lists):
This list comes with a synopsis of each book... it includes many I would have told you about. http://www.teenreads.com/features/2006-reading-list.asp

Here's a fun list that lists other lists... well, check it out to see what I mean: http://www.duluth.lib.mn.us/Books/BooklistsYA.html

Here is a list of books chosen by other young adults and published in a newsletter for the International Reading Association: http://www.reading.org/downloads/choices/yac2007_bookmark.pdf

Well, I could post lists all day for ya, but I do have to get on with my day... feel free to email me, if you need more choices!
Happy Reading!!

It all depends on what you like to read. When I was a teenager I read everything I could get my hands on. I really liked "childrens classics", such as Peter Pan, or Heidi.

If you like fantasy, The Abhorsen Trilogy by Garth Nix is fantastic, as is His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman.

If you like more adult materials, The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls is fantastic, as well as the classic A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
