Is that true? Does highlights damage your hair? Does it cause split ends? Can you tell me the pros and cons please.

do not cause grey hairs, if done incorrectly will damage, lack of trimming causes split ends

highlighting your hair cannot get your hair grey. greying of the hair happens on the inside and grows out.. not the other way around. external processes cannot affect hair greying..
highlighting does damage hair tho ...if u dont not treat it how it is spose to be treated!! any chemical process bleaching colour treating etc will cause damage to the hair because it is unnatural but there are special ways to control this. such as conditioning. deep contioning or treating your hair with products like hot oil, hair mayonaise, u could try pantene conditioners.. .. there are loads of steam products for u to use. ask your hair stylist and they will tell u whats right for u.
damaged hair can break and split so if your hair becomes damaged due to improper care it could cause split ends.
