You are working hard, a single parent. . .cautious. . yet, you still LIVE.
Your children come first.
You want to go after all the dreams you've ever had. . .chase them until they are yours. . .always putting family first however.
You know you can. . .

One day. . .you fall in love. . .

This love. . .this love carries a virus. . .

This love infects you with this virus.

You now have to take this life and make EVERYDAY count.

Realistically. . . how would you go about doing that???

I wouldn't second guess every little move i make, i wouldn't constantly be thinking of what COULD happen if i did act a certain way. I'd just do it, and deal with stuff when it happens, not live my life in fear of something that may not. I'd carry on the same with my kids, making sure that they were never in doubt of how much they were loved, and i'd never doubt how much i was loved either. I couldn't promise to do a good thing everyday, to make it count, but i could promise to try to do that and do definately go at everything with good intentions!

If this 'virus' is going to cut your time on this planet short...screw the dreams, and make the best out of reality.
Spend every waking moment with those kids and that family. Have fun every second you have left.
Don't worry or think about the stuff on the horizon, the ;could have' or 'might have beens'.
Cherish every second what you have now, revel in it.

Yesterday I ran an errand with my youngest. We went to the store to buy candy for his classmates. He loves candy, not to eat but to share. His favorite game is to share out any candy he gets, taking one piece, and then another to each person in the room. If we don't stop him he will give it all away and have none for himself. He is the most beautiful person I know.

One day, maybe soon, maybe long years away, he will be cold and still. Everything I have, I only have for a short while. All that I care about will be lost and forgotten. It's a simple fact.

Things are what they are, it is how I chose to feel about them that gives me sorrow or joy. I broke an old piece of family china. I was sad, but china breaks. Knowing that mades its loss easy to accept. People die. Knowing that make my death easy to except.

What does that leave me? I have today. Best that it isn't drowned in sad memories, or lost in dreaming hopes for tomorrow. I have a chance to live fully in what time I have.

If you're chasing a dream, try to go as far as you can. Life is not over yet. Don't get depressed or ask what good would anything do. That would be an early death. Good luck.

If you get infected, it means you're immune system is not as strong as you think it is. The newer the strain of virus, the stronger it is, so you have to find new things to combat it. To be strong, you have to have a good grasp of humanity, a good balance of family, friends, work, play, music, art, education, etc., a vast understanding of culture, history, religion, etc., spiritual power, altruism, self-observation, etc.

Live to the fullest, treasure every moment, don't be scared to go after your dreams no matter how silly, always forgive and be the bigger person, and show those kids all the love you can while you are here....the way we should all live, but don't.

I would still live life to the fullest, but with more awareness of my own mortality.

In the comic strip Funky Winkerbean, Lisa Moore has terminal cancer, and she is going to make videos for her daughter to watch on special occasions, such as Christmas, Birthday, First Date, Prom, etc.

She said she doesn't want to concentrate on her death, she wants to concentrate on life while she still has it.

Well to have your dreams, you should not have kids, because soon as you have kids, all your dreams and aspirations have gone out the door, and if that is not the end. You fall in love, then you find out you have aids, so is it better to shoot yourself, or wait to see if a vacine is developed, or die a slow death, and in the meantime nobody wants to know you because you have aids.
