Depends on who does the best job at the task or chore at hand.....btw what happens if a couple lives in a condo or a place that has a maintenance man, does the male get a free pass?

If the wife/women is bringing home part of the money from a job that she works at eight hours or more a day, they should both do all the work together.
As for the house....you could do something such as vacuum (men seem to like this job) and she could do the dusting and moping of the kitchen and bathroom. Both of you need to make up the bed together when you get up in the morning.
Both of you should be helping with the yard work too.
Remember that housework and cooking is an everyday chore while yard work is only every two weeks.
BUT if she is not working, then the house and cooking is her job and bringing home the salary is your job.

WOW You certainly are about dividing.
Chores of any type are something that as a couple you decide together who is doing what. BUT having said that there are always times when both need to pitch in and help the other because of schedules. Get out of the dark ages where men do this and women do that. In today's busy world we all have our jobs and all need to help each other with the task at hand. If you want your relation to last you will think long and hard about what you just asked.

wrong, you need to get up-dated while men still do most of the heavy lifting women do just about anything men do now a days. Of course it depends on the woman your with, she may prefer that she stay at home or maybe not. I prefer to be out working but I think that both me and my guy should share household duties because we both work. However, I love to garden and do the chores outside including chopping wood but I love to cook and bake too.

As a man, I need to tell you that you are quite off base with this. My wife and I share the duties in our house, including cooking and cleaning.

In the "olden days" that may have been true. I do all the cooking and my wife does the mechanical work on our vehicles. We both work so chores are divided equally and not by the area needing cleaned.

Tell that to my hubby. Some things he just does better than I do. He irons better than I do, he loads the dishwasher to maximum capacity still getting the dishes clean much better than I do, he cleans out the fireplace better than I do, he is much taller than I am and is better able to clean & vaccum the ceiling fan blades, the cornice boxes, the art, reliefs and statues on niches and high up on the wall easier than I can, he can pull out the washer, dryer and fridge easier than I can and vacuum behind them without a struggle, he washes windows, tracks and screens in our two story windows above the living room better than I do, and he washes crown molding, wood work, chair rail, baseboards, wainscotting and architectural details like balstrauds way on better than I could. And, he knows he does all of this better than I do. I think he would really disagree with you on this one....

Not necessarily. My boyfriend and I do both. He helps clean the inside and I help with the outside.
