Is it possible to load the new garage band onto a Mac Desktop that does not have garageband. It is an older model from 2000. I don't know much about it. Thank you.

The new GarageBand needs G4 or better processor and OS version 10.4.9 or later. When you say "2000 desktop" do you mean a PowerMac G4 tower? That's a go if it has OS 10.4.9 or 10.4.10. If you mean iMac, that's a no-go.

remember in case you get a slower Mac which includes a G4.... it's going to be slower and Garageband could have a harder time working in case you have distinctive audio tracks and so on..... Garageband is popular for requiring somewhat extra juice (for despite reason). you do no longer desire the appropriate computer available.... yet i'd get something extra useful than a G4. The extra Ram you will get/upload will help besides. Btw.... do no longer hear to the different guy approximately "fruity loops".... i offered a Mac somewhat for song courses.... stumbled on Garageband... and have been happy ever since. not extra computer viruses, Crashes, Blue displays of dying. completely somewhat actually worth the money.

you might have to go to an apple store and get it updated before you do that. You can always get the program and if it doesn't work get your Mac updated.
