Jihad literally means to "struggle", notably to "struggle in the way of God" or "to struggle to improve one's self and/or society.

Osama says Holy War, definitions say struggle.

Holy War = struggle?

Muslims, does it say in the Koran to kill people who don't believe the same way you do? Does struggle mean war? I really need to know.

dear all if we look into the history of ARABS when a person used to meet another he puts one of his hands on his sword but when islam came he taught us to shake hands and this how hand shaking started, which was a clear message that we are not here to fight but we are here for peace and we don't mean any war. jihad means to protect a good cause. fisrt it is tried to solve by negotiation and if not resolve then a fight is made but it is decided only by the head of the state. the persons selected for jihad must be able to clarify between good and bad, must have a complete know how of the matter for which he is choosen as a jihadi, he must have arranged the resources of bread n butter for his family, and the most important he should be a mature adult and in a good mental condition. no woman and or child and or senior citizen is hurt.

with the aid of fact that is not any longer. The LITERALY Arabic translation of "jihad" is "conflict". "Holy warfare" is "Harb muqaddasah". observe the linguistic distinction. Holy warfare would be a factor of jihad yet purely counts if that is in DEFENCE to somebody else attempting to smash Islam and kill all the Muslims. yet Jihad would not propose "holy warfare". it could contain it if there is genuinely no different option. And lesser jihad is an outward actual conflict. If somebody throws trash at me, that is actual. inner is controlling your individual needs. a number of those hadiths taken out of context and written in information articles by using human beings that do no longer comprehend can somewhat be difficult.

Jihad means struggle or strive in the way of Allah (SWT). There can be a military aspect to it, but it's generally applied to our inner selves.

There is no compulsion in religion, so no, we don't go around killing people who don't share the faith.

Women married to Muslim men who are Jewish or Christian do not need to change their faith under Shariah Law.

If Islam can co-exist with non Muslims in the HOME then outside the home is ever easier.

Proof from SHARIAH (Islamic Law) that the Muslims have never been told to "Kill all the Infidels" -- and whatever sources they try to use are taken out of historical context.

Yes. Islam values the afterlife not this life. It's moral standard is to ultimately sacrifice ALL life on earth.
