yeah, it's lame. My sister asks to borrow everything when she comes over (which is often) she still asks if she can "borrow" a glass of water. "borrow" a beer. Like really!

I always do permit somebody to take a tissue whenever he/she needs it. This way when I do need it I can go to the same person and take the same amount that he/she took.

If you get hungry, I got a Big German Sausage you can have...

I'm going to Sam's Club and have free samples for lunch today.

You let them "borrow" it and hope that when you ask to "borrow" one from that same person you'll get one. "Borrow" in this context means give me. Don't take it back, tell them to keep it.

I offer more than one and tell them to keep them. Or tell them to hang the used tissue on a line to dry it and use it later. No thanks - don't want it back!

i really do this:
i hand them one and say "please, keep it". i hate when people ask to borrow somthing and its obvisouly not returnable. like "can i borrow a piece of paper" once i ripped of a piece of my paper and said, "is that all you need?".
its because people dont think before they speak.
