Fred Weasley. It's extremely hard to think of the Weasley twins without him. Of course, that's why J. K. killed him off instead of Percy. Percy's death didn't have the emotional toll that Fred's did.
I am sure she meant to kill Percy, but it just went wrong.

Resurrecting Snape would have nullified his sacrifice and left him less than he was. People should let him rest in peace.

Resurrecting either Tonks or Lupine would have left that couple incomplete. You also couldn't bring back Ted Tonks because he would always wonder if his life is more worthy than that of his daughter.

No, Fred Weasley would be the best choice.

That is a hard one. I wouldn't pick Lupin or Tonks, because although it is sad that Teddy had to grow up without parents, he had serrogates and turned out fine and assumingly happy. Dobby was so willing to give his life for Harry and although I was very sad to see it happen, I understand why. I have mixed feelings about Snape. Colin, was young but that is a price in war.

I would have to say Fred. Not just because he was funny. It is more something I can't exactly put into words, but have experienced. You have to see what the death of a twin does to the other (when they die young) and what it does to a family. Especially when they are identical. It is hard to look at the one that looks so much like the other for a while. George's injury might help this a bit, but it would still be hard for him and his family.

A challenging question. As much as Fred is an emotional answer because it just seemd the Weasley's didn't deserve that.

Yet, I cannot help but agree with anyone who has said Snape. In many ways he was a great hero and now--after getting to the Prince's Tale--maybe we can see there was a great hint in the naming of book 6.

On the other hand, the only way Harry was ever going to believe in Snape was to see it in his memories like he did. Let's face it, neither Harry nor Ron nor Hermione would have believed Snape had he sat them down and said "look, I'm actually on your side, I am doing everything I can to help you." Would they? And if the portrait of Dumbledore had told them--had they had access to it--they probably would have suspected Snape put some kind of curse on it to make it say things in his defense.

All that said, I would have liked him to live it out to gain the reward he deserved: forgiveness from Harry and any who remained of the Order given how long he was generally not trusted, and how quick they were to assume the worst of him.

YES, FRED! And not as a ghost, but 100% Fred Weasley. I was not saddened when he died, I WAS FURIOUS! If Jo really needed to kill a Weasley, she could have picked Percy the prat or Charlie since he's the Weasley we seldom get to read about! But she's the author, I'm just a reader, so there.

Fred. George would be so much happier without him.

I'm sad Tonks and Lupin died, but I couldn't only bring back one of them without the other.

And Dobby was sad too, but I feel that more people liked Fred.=[

I'd pick Fred hands down. He was one of my favorites characters and when I read the part he died I felt so bad for George, first he loses an ear, then he loses his twin brother. Still, there are alot of character who I would bring back since so many of them died in the book.

I agree with everyone about Fred. I really liked all of the Weaslys. Plus there is a special bond between twins that is really sad when broken.
