Depends exactly what you mean. There is a rock known as magnesian limestone which contains up to about 10-15% of Magnesium Carbonate in addition to the Calcium Carbonate it also contains. If it contains more than about 15% it is generally known as Dolomite.

In areas where these materials occur a good deal of the magnesium in the soil comes from them.

In general though, a lot of these minerals come from the breakdown of such rocks as Feldspar and Mica which themselves are commonly found in granite.
