Peter, Paul, and Mary - It's Magic. Old song but it is ok! I was born in the 70's. Just to answer the second part.

The Best Sad song would have to be Soft Cell's "Tainted Love"

Kathy Matea's "Where Have You Been?" It's about this couple that grow old together and then they are separated when one gets something like Alzheimer's and ends up in a nursing home or hospital and then the other ends up in the same place and the one with the Alzheimer's sees their spouse and has a moment of clarity and asks Where have you been? It's quite sweet, but very sad.

"All Alone" by Mad Season (Lane Staley and Mike McCready plus two other dudes).

"Annacortes Has a Secret Love" by Microphones.

"Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2" by Neutral Milk Hotel.

"A House" by Doves.

This song always choaks me up, it's from the movie "Fly Away Home" and if you click the link it should start right up...if you'd like to hear it. It's call "10,000 miles" by Mary Chapin Carpendar
