I think it is after the frog kissing, one armed, blue eyed, Latvian speaking Debate. These debates are out of hand to bring it down to special interests. But it just goes along with how the states are pushing the primaries and caucuses up further and further that we will have the first one in October 2007 probably.

So what is your point? That the candidates should not be required to demonstrate their abilities and state their programs and beliefs, or that they should all be for the benefit of groups like the John Birch Society and the Chamber of Commerce?

We live in a democracy, my partisan friend, and that means that anything that better informs the voter who they are voting for is a good thing. If either the Republicans or Democrats choose to debate before the Handed Sewer Flute and Toad Sexing Society we as voters can still be better informed, and cast a more intelligent ballot.

Who cares who organizes the debates? As long as they are presented fairly the entire country benefits. Be grateful we live in this kind of country.
