You cannot run two firewalls any more than you can run two antivirus programs. They will be busy finding each other, and neither one will protect your computer. There is NOTHING wrong with Windows Firewall, I've used it since I installed XP 5+ years ago.

So, if you are determined to use ZoneAlarm, you MUST disable Windows Firewall. One or the other, but not both.

You don't need to have 2 firewalls running. If you are having a problem with the Windows Firewall, then go ahead and install Zone Alarm and then turn the other one off.

I'd disable the Windoze firewall and go for Zone Alarm. Of the free firewalls out there, it's one of the best ones.

I'd also go directly to the source and download it from the website instead of getting a potentially hacked version off of some torrent or P2P site.

Windows firewall is good enough, other software firewall tend to get annoying because it warns you about everything, and they tend to break some software like blocking some ports you may need.

If you need it, go with ZoneAlarm Firewall. Windows firewall is not very good and can be gotten around fairly easily.

Windows firewall is pretty good on its own but having a backup won't hurt

Comodo Personal Firewall is rated the best.

It is free.

Depends on what you are doing, but I've heard great things about Zone Alarm.

If you want max protection, why not just use both? You could still play games, DL stuff, and chat, you'll just have to configure ports to do it.
