I don't know if there is such a U.S. state that has the coolest, dryest climate, but if so, please do tell! Also include climate stats for the state(s) you choose. Thanks you!

If you dont count Alaska then it would be Maine for the coolest. Very cold winters and summers dont get that hot at all.

Driest state is probably Nevada or death valley in California. Las Vegas only gets like 4 inches of rain per year.

The state with the coolest climate is Alaska but you asked what the state with the coolest AND dryest climate which would be Montana.

Right now Oregon and Washington have been averaging below normal temperatures, so far we have been running in the 75-80 degree range, but the Pacific Coast of these two states are about 10 degrees cooler.

Alaska. My father-in-law lives there and it's pretty cold there but they get less snow than someplace like Upstate New York. We were in Anchorage in the summer and it only got above 70 degrees one day.
You just have to deal with days with no sun in the winter and midnight sun in the summer along with lots and lots of mosquitos in the summer.

Alaska would be my guess. The lowest temperature on record in the U.S was recorded there.

ALASKA? because its so cold there. i'd say its below zero as a climate because everything is snow and ice.
