Also I would like to know if it will show up in the search results. For example if i went on yahoo and searched oompa loompas and my site was about oompa loompas it would show up. I would also like it to be able use google adsense thanks.

You are obviously a beginner so this is what I would suggest.
Sign up with Google and start a blog on Blogger.
Learn how to customise your blog, learn about meta tags, keywords, sitemaps etc. and see how well you can get your blog working.
Google makes it very easy to add Adsense to their blogs.
The best thing is that everything is free.
Once you feel that you have mastered all of the above then you can consider getting into paid websites and hosting.

The easiest way to set up your website is to purchase a domain name and to integrate Google Apps in it. Google Apps is easy to use and to create your website and manange your email addresses.
