There are a lot of TV commercials that link sex and chocolate. A recent ad has two women asking each other if they would "love a piece" of an Aero bar, while a man stands by mumbling that he wouldn't really "love" one--so he doesn't get a piece (of chocolate). The women shun him and look like they're reaaaaalllly enjoying the chocolate. Why is there such a connection between women and chocolate, and why does it seem to be the exclusive interest of women?

What does this have to do with feminist theory? Um, use your head. And btw, get over yourself. I don't know where you're getting your info from, but it would be nice if you actually followed the rules and did not talk to me personally. Keep it up buddy. And it's nice you're using your name on here, since I had no idea who the hell you were when you kept e-mailing me. Don't like the questions, don't answer. In other words, **** off.

Don't you know that we spend our days eating bonbons, watching soap operas, gossiping cattily on the phone, and spending our husands' money? This is a fine and funny question.

I don't know the exact answer to your question, but I can see it. Chocolate never cheats on you. My ex always found and ate the chocolate I bought for myself and hid from him. Twit.

A rainy day at home, a great book, and a box of Russell Stover (that I bought myself, of course). Heaven.

Chocolate is linked to sex because it releases some chemical in the brain. It's like an aphrodisiac for women. Some people joke that chocolate can replace men, but in actuality, it's now been discovered that chocolate makes women want men more.

I know people of both genders that either love or hate chocolate. I simply enjoy chocolate from time to time. Do I prefer chocolate over my husband? No not really. But there are times I do like time to myself, and usually it involves chocolate, a good cup of coffee and a good book.

Did you know that "Stressed" spelled backwards is "Desserts"?

Is that why Daddy loved the chocolate so much? He was celibate once he got emphysema ... he gave up smoking ... alcohol ... and pain pills ... but he refused to give up chocolate. We had so much chocolate around the house I couldn't touch the stuff for about 2 years after his death. Now I feel bad for trying to take chocolate away from him ... Thanks 4 the enlightenment.

Have you ever held a piece of really dark chocolate in your fingers until it melts? What then would you do with it, this silky, molten mess?

Get real, it's just chocolate.

It is believed that chocolate is an aphrodisiac so that's why chocolate is compared to a man in a lot of ads. But who knows if it is true.
