Where would you rather live, and why?

I like the city a lot better. I hate being in the middle of nowhere.

I like both - the country is peaceful and the city is close to just about everything. I would rather live in the city!

I've tried both, and the country is definitely better for me. I grew up in the country and couldn't wait to get out of the city when I ended up there. Now I work in the city and live in a small town that makes my commute almost unbearable at times, but I still won't give it up. Country is birds and animals, peace and quiet, friendly people. The city is concrete, noise, traffic, crazy people, work. Still, I'm not out in the middle of nowhere. But if you live in the city, I'm glad you like it. I know some people would have it no other way.

I use to live in Boston and the only reason why I liked it was because of all the things to do and all the places to shop. I now live in a small town in Maine, it's pretty quiet and kind of boring, and at times hard to find something to do. You usually have to travel a short distance to have a good time. My town at least has a bowling alley and movie theatre and too many bars. I don't feel that I'm in the middle of nowhere because I can travel at 45 minutes-1 hour to a city and find things to do there...and shop! The country is a far better place to raise children than the city.

I was raised in the country and moved to the city for a while. I hate the city. Noise, rude people, traffic, high cost of living, gangs, you can never relax in the city because the moment you do somebody is jack'n you. Here in the sticks life is quiet, simple, peaceful. I don't miss a thing about the city, except Cubs Games.

You know, if your young and single then definitely the city, there's things to do and its very busy, but if you have children then the country just bc I think it is a much safer and calmer place to raise children. I was raised in the city and now I live in the suburbs not far from the city and I feel it is the best of both worlds.

Country. I like the quiet. I like having critters. I don't like lots of people around. All the things I enjoy doing most are outside, country type of activities.

I do need a city close by. I need the occasional cultural event. "Nutcracker" at Christmas...the symphony or opera now then. An art museum or gallery. I enjoy the occasional visit, but I don't want to live there.

I have lived in the city (Cleveland, O) and in the country. I now live in the country for my Golden Years and it is soooooo relaxing and quaint and quiet. When I need/want excitement I go six miles down the road to a one street town! lol

Depends...
Perfect scenario I live in the country that is really close to a city. That way I get solitude and beautiful scenery at home when I want to relax but then I am still close to the action.

the city, reason i like being around all the individuals and the bustle. somewhat, besides the pollutants, the city is great reason I even have get admission to to just about something. and you are available in touch with a extra distinctive inhabitants (distinctive cultures) than in the rustic.

country i grew up in town s and cities and i prefer the county because of the solitude and the fact that if i want to build on my land i do not have to get a permit and that if I want animals i can have them plus my kids were raised on the farm and i never had to worry about the things like traffic, excreta and you get to know your neighbors when you live out of town and i know it corny but my kids grew up belonging to 4H clubs and were members of the local FFA chapter and they had a lot of fun. Plus now that I have grand kids they love to come and stay at my house cause they get to see deer in the field antelope and all kids of wild critters when we go for walks,
