Yes-- but it's not a good thing. It can turn you into a person full of envy. I think also it might happen because you're safer wanting someone you can't have--nothing will come of it and you won't get seriously hurt. So it might be being afraid to make yourself vulnerable by wanting someone who might want you back.

Wanting people and loving people is powerful and wonderful but scary too...

No. I have found it to be a wiser expectation to get what I have and feel delighted with it.

Wanting what you cannot have is a recipe for disaster and distress.

Change your "wanter". Your 'needer' will always be fulfilled. Stuff like eats, shelter and clothes. The rest is optional.

When it comes to men.. yes.. I always want ones who are married or just plain out of reach.. I hate that!!
