Weathering is rocks being worn away or broken down. Erosion is the movement of that eroded material. They go hand in hand, but are definitely not the same thing.

Weathering is mostly a chemical change to the minerals in rocks and soils(for example, oxidation by air, hydrolysis by water, dissolution by carbo dioxide dissolved in water, reaction with circulating groundwater)
Erosion is the physical removal of those materials through the action of wind and water.
