when i was 12 almost 13 weeks, my ultrasound tech told me it was a baby boy. did any one else find out the sex this early and ended up being right? i was just wondering because i dont know when my next scan will be.

she found the cord and the fingers and then seen something between the legs which is where she got baby boy from

It's possible but highly unlikely. Although the reproductive organs ARE formed in boys and girls at 12 weeks, they are so small that you would hardly be able to tell for sure.
I would take her statement as a "guess" and not as fact. Wait until your next ultrasound after 20 weeks. They are much more accurate then.

At 13 weeks, the femur bone of the baby measures about 11 mm (0.433 inches) from hip to knee. Look at a ruler to appreciate how small that really is. Now, think of how little a penis or labial lips would be.....
But, then again, anyone has a 50/50 chance of guessing the correct gender. It is not an educated guess, or a highly accurate guess, but I would liken it to tossing a coin. There are only two choices....boy/girl, heads/tails. 50/50 odds aren't bad!

I found out at 14 weeks and it was right. I have a 1 1/2 year old son.

I would be skeptical of any sonographer who told you the gender at 13 weeks. That is far too early to be able to tell for sure.
It is more accurate at about 18-22 weeks. Hopefully you'll have another scan at about that time.

I found out at 16 weeks. I would wait until the next one to be sure, it could be a figer, or the cord. OR it could just be a boy! Good luck and congrats!

I didn't think they could tell the sex that early with ultrasound. They wouldn't tell me for sure until 28 weeks.

at my 14 week scan the tech told me it was too early to even try to tell
