No, I believe they're talking about trade rumors there. There's been a ton of speculation about him being dealt, with several teams apparently in the mix. That's why they may have used the term "anywhere".

In 2004, Camby signed a 6-year deal with the Nuggets, so they have him under contract for another 3 years.

Marcus Camby is under contract to the Denver Nuggets for 3 more seasons but that doesn't mean that he could be traded to another team.

Camby is not a free agent, but there are several reasons why the Nuggets is trying to trade him to reduce salary (8.8M).

1) the addition of A.I.'s 17M/year contract
2) K-Mart's 12M/year contract, the Nuggets would like to trade him instead but no other teams wants K-mart
3) Nene also getting paid 8M/year, their front court is just too expensive together
4) Melo sign the rookie extension contract to the maximum (I think)

To avoid the luxury tax, trading Camby makes the most sense.

You made an extremely reliable commentary and diagnosis. besides the incontrovertible fact that, your projected roster has 17 gamers, jointly as the league minimum is 15. 2nd, i do no longer think of a few of those adult males are needed, like Rashard Lewis, because of the fact we've already got an extremely in a position back up small forward in Jeff green. adult males that could make a splash with the C's, are T-Mac and Marcus Camby, because of the fact we are in desire of a C and an SG or PG. i could lots particularly have somebody youthful however, possibly Nick youthful?
