The majority does have some power in this country but we have something called the Constitution to protect the minority. I often disagree with the interpretation of the document but it is the best in the world.

Majority rules is a misconception. This is why we have the constitution, congress and courts. The design of this country was never been intended to be majority rules, it has been preserve the rights of every citizen.
I knew someone would bring up religion in government (pray in schools, city sponsored religious displays etc). The first amendment says that the state can not establish a religion. By requiring prayer in school, spending public money on display or providing free space for these displays the state establishes that the religion in question is better that those not displayed or better than no religion. Read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer_in_school for a more in depth discussion on prayer in school.
You added: "they ought to burn the constitution for somehow it got turned over to the minority.... doesnt do anything for real americans anymore"
Maybe you can explain that ludicrous statement. The majority still has free speech (and have no problem using it). The majority still has freedom of religion. Show me one law or policy that prevents the free exercise of non-state sponsored religion.

Ever hear of the Constitution? So that nobody has a religion forced upon them, the government is forbidden to advance a religious view. People have rights, and among these rights, is the freedom to practice a religion or not practice a religion. To practice a religion does not include using the government to teach that religion. And since when has religion been taken off television and radio? There are a gazillion radio stations, tv programs, books, newspapers, music cd's, even theme parks, with a religious message... You want your children to believe in god and so on, who's stopping you? You have churches, sunday schools, and of course your own home and your own example. What you really want, under these excuses, is to force your views on others.

Call them what they are, Socialists. People today can't remember the cold war, so they don't realize how horrible the Libs are. I once heard Hannity read the Communist Agenda on the air, about all the goals they had to infiltrate this country with socialism, and EVERY single agenda has come to pass. This country has been highjacked by a facist minority, and the time is going to come when normal people need to fight back to regain the freedoms our ancestors gave their lives to win from the British, and retain from the Germans.

In the USA today we are more minority rules than majority rules. Liberal media blows things out of proportion. Imus made some remarks however if it werent for the media expanding it so much the ladies he was talking about would have never known. Anyone else who was disgusted by his comments had the option of turning off his show or complaining to his bosses. Ultimately the ladies got an apology but it was waaaaayy overblown to get out of hand that way.

No, libs only want to run the country without due regard for what the majority of Americans want or think. Look at history, One lady running her mouth got prayer kicked out of school. A small group of people, supported by the ACLU are carving up Christmas so that towns and cities cannot put up the Manger Scene, or say " Merry Christmas."
Unless and until the American Majority puts it foot down and fires all those who don't support this nation and hire a new bunch of dogs, we will have to let these minority groups like ACLU, Atheists, Gay rights and PETA run the country, into the ground.

If you want majority rule, I suggest you find a democracy. As for me, I'll stick with our republic and know that we are better served when we have a layer of protection between the law and the mob.
there is such a thing as the tyranny of the majority.

Well if we had majority rules....
1) We would be withdrawing from Iraq now. (70% want it)
2) Abortion would always remain legal. (65% pro-choice)
3) We would have stricter gun laws (60-65% in favor)
4) The government would be funding stem cell research. (70% in favor)
5) Al Gore would be President (won the popular vote)
So if majority ruled this is what you would have. Still want it?
And giving this answer a "thumbs down" proves my point.
Because people are all for it when they are in the majority. but then claim "it's not fair" when your viewpoint is in the minority.

Where do you see it not happening? Where do you see a majority of anyone standing up for anything? Have you been slighted in something?
