Mariah Carey, because her voice has so many ranges. And she could probably sing any song you throw at her. She has a lot of different styles, too, like R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, etc.
If I could meet her, I might be speechless. If not, I'd ask her to give me some vocal tips!! And maybe I'd ask when her next album will be out. =)

Umm, if I absolutely had to pick one...
Janis Joplin - she was just so emotional and no one has a voice comparable to hers. I really don't know what I'd say if I met her (though that would be a bit hard, considering she's dead)... I'd probably just ask some random question that I made up on the spot. =)

Anyway, my favorite singer is probably Madonna or Mariah Carey. I wouldn't make a big deal about it though if I met them, I'd just talk to them like I would anyone else, they're people, too.

Stephin Merritt, Conor Oberst, Ben Gibbard, Kurt Cobain. I've seen the first three in person in concert but never really talked to them, just shouted. Oh, I like their lyrics and the way their voices express the lyrics.

JANIS JOPLIN
She had one of the greatest singing voices of all time, raspy, soulful and made me feel what she was feeling. She was just one of those singers who really portrayed herself through her music! If I ever met her I would tell her this and I would ask her all about the 60's!

keith urban. hes a country singer. i know i know make fun of me but i loooovveeee country!!! country isnt like old people singing about their farmland its MORE THAN THAT!!! i woud love to meet him because his songs just make u so happy and they relate to his life. that would be a miracle if i met him. i wouldnt scream my head off but it would be like a dream come true. hes awesome!!! also if i could meet rascal flatts....WHOOAAA!! the lead singer went to my highschool!!!!!
