XX=Sexual content.
XXX-Frontal nudity

They are not official classifications (the MPAA never copyrighted the X rating) but are self-applied by the producers of adult films. A single X usually signifies softcore sexual content that does not show erections or penetrations. XXX indicates hardcore sex scenes that show everything.
