Well, I have mixed emotions about child support.

But realize that women, not just men, also pay child support.

I do think that the money issue is way over emphasized compared to the visitation issues.

I guess the reasoning is that if the child is not living with the other parent as much, it is not costing the other parent an equal amount.

But it does seem to me in a lot of cases that one parent is mainly concerned about the money, and reallly could care less about the child's contact with the non-custodial parent whether it be male or femal. And in many many cases, that child support money is not spent on the child, but to buy fancy clothing for the parent, go gamble, etc.

If the emphasis was on increasing the child's time with both parent's, then support of the child would probably take care of itself.

You are truly certifiable.
The courts don't pay for child support, the father does.
He pays because the child is half his, and the child deserves to be supported. Even by your twisted logic, the man enjoyed his contact with the mother and was 'satisfied'. That's what created the baby.
Caring for a child is something most men only want to do if it pleases them, most men walk away from their responsibilities as soon as they can. Its the innocent child that suffers. Kids need moms and dads, not people who look for ways out by blaming someone else, a man has the ability to use a condom, if he won't hes taking chances, if he wants to play hes going to pay.

If you have ever raised a child you would not have to ask this question. If you are man enough to father a child you should be man enough to face up to the responsibilities of supporting it.Why should a guy be able to get a girl pregnant, and just go on his merry way?A woman has carried the child for nine months and feels a bond with it,and has a nurturing instinct that most men do not have.If you want to dance,be prepared to pay the fiddler.

well, first let me say i hv 3 kids and dont get any support or ask for it. What good would it do? he has nothing.

But ... what a bizarre question. Firstly support exists because children dont deserve to suffer for the mistakes of their parents, thats the thinking. Its a system that unfortunately leaves itself open to corruption and deceitfulness, but men *do* have a choice in this, so are therefore not blameless.

they can choose to protect themselves. The best protection is to not do it, if you do be certain to get to know the person first over an extended amt of time, and finally *protect* yourself always. Hope for the best in people, but plan for the worst. This is what I will tell my son.

And incidentally men get custody (and support) about 50% of the time that they go after it.

You're not the only walking penis on the planet. And I seriously doubt you satisfied anyone other than yourself in that 15 seconds! Just because she opened the door doesn't mean you had to enter! WAKE UP, FOOL!!!!

It takes two to make a child. Raising a child is NOT solely the mother's responsibility. Grow up and realize that, jerk.

I don't see your point. Do you think women shouldn't make fathers support their children financially? I agree - fathers should do it without being forced to.

It must be nice to not have your mind filled with distracting intelligent thought. What a sexist, egotistical and juvenile statement.

I only hope that you don't breed.
