I can get WGN 720 while home in chicago, but i have to drive to see some friends tonight. I can sometimes get 720 all the way there, near cedar rapids, but if i can't, is there a sister station out that way that would carry the game?

I lived in Iowa for some time, and yes, you should be able to. Just check around the dial for a while. It always seemed to me that the Cubs and the Cardnials fought for the fans in Iowa. So you should have no problem finding it somewhere.

Your best way for that is to get XM Satellite Radio that carries all the MLB games.
Although, I'm a Sirius Satellite Radio Subscriber.

I live in Cedar Rapids but don't listen to or watch baseball however, I would try AM 1600. Hope it helps.

As already said, XM is the way to go. I have it and it broadcasts every game of every team. I'm actully going to get it for my other car this week so that I can listen on my way to South Carolina.

yes you can they have a great signal
back in 2006 was in Iowa and got the cubs reds game. very enjoyable.
