What are the best things to do in orlando(we own a house so it doesn't matter how long we stay). We would like to go to at least 1 water park.

For water parks, I'd go with the old reliable: Wet n Wild on International Drive. The Disney waterparks are fun, but Wet N Wild isn't as themed. It's a waterpark for the sake of a waterpark, and nothing else.

Something that's off the beaten path: Lukas Butterfly Garden in Oviedo. I was pleasantly surprised.

The theme parks are always fun, but it gets a little hot and crowded in August.

Disney World is my favorite thing! It has four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Studios, and Animal Kingdom. And it has two water parks, golf courses, mini-golf courses, Downtown Disney to shop. You can easily spend a week just at Disney.

Universal Studios is also good, particularly their second park, Islands of Adventure. And there's some other attractions, such as Wet n Wild, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Wonderworks, etc. Lots to do in Orlando. You might like to get on the website of their Tourism office and request info from them. They often send coupons, too!

I think all of the theme parks are defo worth a visit!! The best water park is blizzard Beach ! I feel wet 'n' Wild has really lost it's wow factor and doesn't look very appealing at all and I also heard rumors that is was being closed down which I'm guessing is due to lack of interest !

Islands of Adventure is a lot better than Disney. I do like Disney's water parks though (Blizzard Beach & Typhoon Lagoon). I just went to both of them last weekend. They are a lot of fun for any ages.
Sea World is also a good choice.

Wet N Wild tickets cost $32 if you're a Florida Resident. That's a whole day of fun right there.
