My mom lets me wear make-up but whenever i tell her that i need new make up she always blows it off. Even when were at the store and I say that I need new make up shes just like we will come back a different day but she never does. I sometimes argue with her but she never gets it. I can't drive so its not that easy to just go out and get it. I've even gone with my dad before but my mom wasnt happy about it. Why is she like this? I make my make look natural too so its not like im over doing it. How can i get her to get me new make-up? She even wears make up herself so theres no excuse.

Maybe your mum doesn't like the thought of you growing up and starting to wear make-up, going out with boys..etc.
She just wants to keep her little girl as long as she can
Maybe you could try sitting down and talking to her about it, maybe explaining that you are getting older now and she has to let you go sometime

ZOMG, i have the same problem. my mom was reluctant to let me wear make-up in the first place!!!!! i broke her down though and we went and bought some, so whenever i need new make-up, I go with my dad to the store and then ask him. LOL he has no idea what i am asking for, so he lets me loose on the make-up isle, (lol which by the way is a very scary thing) and i come back with a new make-up kit.

I don't know how old you are but there is a reason why she feels like that. Have you actually asked her nicely why? There are other substitutes to make up that will enhance your looks and are 100% all natural. Sounds nuts but drink plenty of water, use PH balanced facial cleanser instead of soaps,get a light tan,don't pop pimples(use warm tea bags),don't use heavy face creams,etc....She wears make up because she is a grown up. It's not an excuse, you'll see in time.

Do you have your own money? Take about $20 with you and pick out the make-up you want. Say something like, "Mom, I've decided to get this. Is that OK?" Do NOT argue with her concerning make-up, it isn't worth it. Remember to keep your look natural and fresh. Don't go for neon purple eyeshadow or vivid orange lip color. Say "I'd really like to look like YOU, you know!" She should say "yes" to some brown/black mascara, rosy-piny lip color and a bit of blusher.

My mom is like that too. I always just bring about $20 to the store and buy my own stuff, then she cant complain because it's not her money.

when u go to the store with her bring ur own money and say to ur mom, "hey mom i need some new makeup, i'm gonna go c what they have, be right back" if she questions u, tell her u brought her own money

tell her that if you get stuk with crappy old makeup it will look worse and more overdone than new makeup.
