A historical fact is that the left did not gain enough sets in the 2006 election to wrestle control of the HOUSE AND SENATE for the long term, plus their policy moves are killing them already. Historically the Democrats should lose seats due to being the party in power and offering change, but providing none. You guys just aren't seeing it or are educated enough to understand the political history you are dealing with. Plus this 2 year in advance debating is killing your canidates, talk about telegraphing your punches and expousing your self to being called a liar later cause you said something in 2006 and then changed your mind in 2007, it is all to funny how you have lined up to destory your own party.

In my view the liberals aren’t in power right now but things could change for the better in 2008 when the Democrats take over the White House and gain more seats in the Senate and the House. Some more liberals will probably be among that group.

They are not 'in' power. They have only a narrow majority in Congress, and Big Dummy still lives in the White House.
Why are the Republican candidates running as far away from Bush as fast as they can? That does not give the impression of their having great confidence in they 2008 elections.

What will they do? They will mourn the destruction of our country at the hands of idiot, corrupt Republicans.
Who will they blame? Everyone but themselves. Typical politicians.
In any case, if they ARE voted out of power, it will demonstrate how idiotic this country has become. The Dems suck, to be sure, but voting the Republicans back in would be a good case of "out of the frying pan and into the fire." That said, currently it does not look like that this will even happen.

Wait a minute. They are in power? They have had a very thin majority for seven months and you and others want to blame them for twelve years of Republican led failure?
With a President who found his veto pen.
Exactly what part of personal responsiblity will you take?
