The Ford Girl got it right.. she answered the question and appreciate here willingness to help as well as the others.

One seems to have been offended and he will get the thumbs down for his caustic approach. The sacrad book in which you intrust didn't have the same detail that was offered by Ford girl... I trust her and her info, call it a gut feeling and I don't need a book to tell me that.

Thanks again.

The following information is the torque specification and sequence for a 2000 Ford Taurus, equipped with a 3.0L OHV V6:

Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in five stages.
Stage 1: Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb-in).
Stage 2: Loosen the bolts one full turn.
Stage 3: Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
Stage 4: Rotate 85-95 degrees.
Stage 5: Rotate an additional 85-95 degrees.

Below is the tightening sequence for the head bolts to be followed:

INTAKE MANIFOLD SIDE

(6) (4) (2) (8)

(5) (1) (3) (7)

EXHAUST MANIFOLD SIDE

Hope this helps.

i'm a Ford tech purely like yugie and a few others.... The contours had exceptionally stable engine and transmissions in the direction of the top yet wiring and electric powered in many situations have been all of a Ford of Europe layout that became junk and a few older Contours we've actual pronounced purchasers scrap them then attempt to repair them through cost of adjusting the wiring. (until eventually now Contours actual had a bear in mind on the wiring harness.. do we are saying $1000 aside from hard artwork?(which out of the bear in mind we charged upwards of $900 through numerous hours (and a few vehicles it became closer to an afternoon and a a million/2 to 2 days to do?) The taurus, if saved up are genuine stable vehicles. they're much less high priced through fact Ford bought a lot of them to fleets and the fleets have been given rid of them after a definite time so there are various on the used motor vehicle marketplace through it. some have had some subject concerns with engine and transmissions on them so i could advise anybody you have an pastime in to have a mechanic seem at, yet my favorites from that year are the three.0 4 valve engines. those are so plenty extra effective high quality i hit upon (engine and transmission are distinctive), have extra ability and have much less issues than the extra decrease priced 3.0 2 valve or vulcan motor.
