I dont think so buddy. What can Johnny Bench really add to the coaching staff. Not a whole lot. Bench has never coached before.

does Johnny Bench even coach any team? just because he was a great all around catcher don't mean he can coach or wants to coach. Guess if he showed interest in being a coach would be great but what will the Mets do force him to work :) Besides from the look of his website he rather be doing other things and getting pay better then if he was a coach.

He can be their "Bench" coach. Sorry I couldn't resist. I think if anything he would do it for the Reds over the Mets.
