One things that helps is the Christian voter's guide. It asks questions and records the answers. It also shows the track records. I think the worst invention for politicians was the "instant replay" video. I remember this first happening, where it showed candidates jumping the fence.
But I will watch debates if on TV. Otherwise I don't watch television, too much junk is on it. I do want to be an informed voter, so I do the research as best as i can.

Dirty politics and mud-slinging is nothing new in the arena. The problem is that all the hype is concealing the real issues and that quite a lot of the voters are making their decision based upon emotions rather than fact.
That's the way countries become second rate.
I'm willing to do my part to actually research the issues. How many others can discard emotions and face facts?

Many of us are no longer paying attention. I for one am so used to mud slinging that it doesn't really shock and awe me any more. It doesn't disgust or revolt me either. It all seems fake and contrived. I tune it out since it's just entertainment and low quality entertainment at that. Our politicians are not even as believable as reality television. When it comes time to solemnly choose which reject is slightly less revolting then the others I am sitting it out.

It's all theatrics.
After it's done - they go play golf together. It's fake. I have a friend who works at the State Capitol in my state, and he said that it's all theatre. The Rep's and Dem's spout for media spotlight, but, he see's them laughing it up when it's over and then they go have dinner.
I have read that a lot of people who go into politics are failed actors, ya know. They are good at putting on a show.

I'm willing to try, but with the mud this deep already - I think we might drown before it’s all said & done with.
This is why I think both major parties need to be abolished and campaign funding should be public only as well as advertising (NPR & PBS only)

Most people will have their minds already made up but I can tell you that I am not looking forward to all the infomercials and crap that will be going on. I will probably just turn my television off for a few months.

I agree, if everyone would treat this as a real election and not as voting for a class president a right decision might be made.

I don't see any of them that I would want for a President. This has to be the worst group of candidates that this Nation has ever had in history.
Note: Christians had better be praying.

I never, EVER watch any of those political commercials. They should be banned.
You want to find out about a candidate?
Research his/her voting record. That's on record, they can't LIE about that or spin it in any way.

God is the one who puts them in their seat of power. Personally I vote on their moral views or lack of them and let God do the rest.
