When I was a small child I had a wonderful friend named Zippy. When I opened my eyes for the very first time, before I even looked at my parents, my eyes rested upon him. He was a stuffed, skinny black monkey, with a scary plastic face, even scarier plastic hands (god, you can't even imagine how truly scary) and he was wearing a red outfit and little white boots. My parents were too busy fawning over their first-born, male child so I was often left to my own devices. Zippy listened to everything I told him and was very good at keeping secrets. Years went by and Zippy and I only became more fond of each other. Fast forward to eight years old. My mother and her friend were taking my brother and I somehwere in the car and to be funny (aka: cruel) my mom decided to snatch Zippy out of my hands and tie him to the car's antennae. So here I am, eight years old, watching by best friend dangle precariously in the wind.

Yes, she eventually gave him back, but that single act scarred me more than anything else in my entire life.

Damn, that's messed up. Maybe Zippy needed to get aired out after 8 years of being in your grubby child hands. Did he feel refreshed afterwards?

Yet another example of why people need to be given an instruction manual when they have children. :)
