Just start it about once a month or so and let it get up to full operating temperature. Also a good idea is to fill the gas tank completely. Make sure your fluids are full and another good idea is to put it on jack stands or you will want to move it because you dont want flat spots in the tires or bearings. The other option is to completely store it which takes a lot of work

Drain the gas out of it.
Drain the oil and get a new filter on it as well.
It is a good idea to get it up off the ground.
And to take the battery out of it.
Make sure the antifreeze is full

roll the windows up all the way - and cover it.

I agree with the other comments, & I would also recommend adding some gasoline stabilizer to your tank (as a year is a long time for gas to sit, & you don't want it to 'varnish' your fuel-system)!

tune it top fluids get trickle charger for battery...really best to have someone drive it for 20 minuits every 2 to 3 weeks....gasgets and seals dry out and you may need brake cycliner seals after a year...

you will need to start it from time to time to keep the battery from dying. Also essential to keep fluids checked and at optimal levels.
