Yes. For years it was like that and I will never forget it. I often felt like me and the electric company were mortal enemy's.

Yes...
Even moreso when the paycheck is a couple thousand.
But its nice to know that 5% is being put into a 401k and the company matches it. Also, with smart investing of what little money I do have left over I maxed out my Roth IRA and invested in various CDs and annuities. That will leave me with a couple of million for retirement! So.. all work now.. all play later :o)
Just make sure you spend less than you make.
10% for car payments.
30% for rent.
Never exceed 35% in debt.

Definitely-1300 every 2 wks and 400 goes to rent (for the half-it's 800), another 500 in bills, 400 for the 2 weeks (140ish each week for groceries), another 100 for lunch/dinner for the week and what's left???

You can slowly work your way out of this cycle, but it takes self-discipline and perseverance. How badly do you really "need" that new car? How badly do you really "need" to eat out tonight as opposed to eating something at home? How badly do you really "need" that concert ticket? Think about it.
If you are serious about breaking a vicious cycle, see the link below. The guy knows what he is talking about and isn't trying to sell you something. Most of his advice and tools are free or very cheap. It's a ministry, not a profit-oriented venture.

I'm with you on this one. seems like if I had enough for a treat then a bill shows up. living paycheck to paycheck is " bad

no, it makes me happy. At least I can pay the bills. Imagine the life you would have to live to not have any bills to pay.
