My boyfriend was injured on the job and his lawyer has now filed a lawsuit against the company that he works for. Now he is worried that they will stop paying him workers comp. The doctor won't release him to go back to work. Can they do this?

No. They CAN stop payment after 12 weeks with NO penalty. Workers Compensation doesn't have to pay more than 12 weeks.

No,when a company hires a person they pay a certain amount to workers comp,just like [ie] unemployment insurance.the suit will not have any effect,call your adjuctacator at workers comp.

No. Workers' comp checks don't come from the employer.
