Last time I was in Vegas, temperatures got into the 100s. The dry heat is much more tolerable than the humid heat here in the Midwest. I was outside from 10am to noon each day and didn't have any issues with feeling too hot. If you're near the pool, just take a dip now and again to cool off. I used SPF 30 sunscreen and frankly, it was too much and I didn't get a good tan at all. I didn't wear any the next day and didn't burn either. Just use good judgement and you'll be fine!

Honestly, yes it can become too hot to sunbathe in Las Vegas. Even by a pool, adults only or regular, can be stifling. When temps top 110 and more, regardless that the humidity is low, heat is heat and the Vegas sun will burn you no matter what type of SPF protection you have. My advice, you should be inside in the AC like mother nature intended or, you can sunbathe in the morning 9 AM to 12 PM or in the afternoon after 4 PM. Usually, temps become a little, repeat, a little more tolerable. Also, don't drink alcohol and sunbathe but of course you know that right? Have fun!

Well, if you go during July and August, it's SUPER hot out by the pool. You physically wouldn't be able to lay out that long. When it's about 110 degrees to 115 degrees it's too hot. Other warm months are definitely great for sunbathing. From 95 degrees to about 110 degrees is great. Also, remember that you can get cold beverages from the pool attendants. It's a great way to stay out there!
If you're at one of the Vegas hotels, you need to get out to the pool EARLY! Seriously, like 8am or you won't get a lounge chair.

I live here and I have a very good tan. I go swimming every morning at 7AM. I lay out to dry after wards for about an hour. That is the coolest part of the day. Remember its the sun's rays not the heat that gives you the tan. Best to sun yourself in the coolest not the hottest part of the day.

i live here and it can be rough. it's already 86 degrees according to the news and its only 830. i guess it depends on your tolerance. i like swimming in the afternoon since the uv rays are supposed to be the strongest in the morning. you can hang out by the pool of your hotel and just jump in once in a while to cool yourself off... or just swim for an hour or so.

From experience, summer months are to hot to be out. Short spurts in the pools are possible but trust me, they are short. Afternoon hours 3 pm and later can be better and it is true, you don't need much time to burn.

most pools have shade, mysting systems, waterfalls, all kinds of stuff to help you beat the heat. start early and avoid the sun from 1-4 when the uv index is usually highest. oh, and if you're staying someplace with a rooftop pool, you're going to fry like bacon since it's usually several degrees hotter.

Depends on when you go. August is too hot to set out if you ask me. I would go early in the morning and forget it any other time of the day.
