Somewhere where the cost of living is not too expensive, there are more English speaking people, and generally has friendly citizens.

This is tough question to answer. If you want to move, and are not relocating with your company, your options are more limited.

For low cost of living, the best is Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria). Living there is very cheap and will continue to be for several years. However, you'll have huge language barrier problems.

For being around English speakers, try the Scandinavian & Germanic countries (Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden). Cost of living and taxes are much higher.

Regarding friendly citizens, they can be found anywhere. You can't really generalize about that.

Remember, whatever country you go to you'll have to navigate the immigration process which is long and complex, and also as controversial as it is in America.

Maybe you should look into moving to a different city/state to start things again?

Hi!

Well, you'll find the most English speaking people in the UK and Ireland of course. I'm not sure about long-term living expenses, but short-term are pretty high.

In Italy, you won't find anyone speaking English, especially if you move to smaller towns (not Rome or Milan or other towns, crowded with tourists). The same goes for France.

So what's left? Germany and other, smaller countries. For example Slovenia, most of the people speak English, living costs are not that high and people are friendly. Same goes for the Czech Republic, and the Baltic states.

Hope you will decide the best possible way for you!

Have a nice day

Well, I'm afraid that you simply won't find ALL of those things. Most countries EITHER have a low cost of living, OR they have a lot of English-speaking people. England and the Netherlands and much of Scandinavia have tons of English-speaking people, but they are very expensive places to live. You can go live in Albania or Hungary and find that things are cheap, but you won't find a lot of English-speaking people. If you are committed to going to Europe, either prepare yourself for an expensive place with high taxes, or learn another language. As far as friendly citizens are concerned, you can't go wrong with any of them!

If you need a lot of warmth and sunshine, only a country in southern Europe could be right for you. People would be friendly, be sure about that. You would have to learn the foreign language as quick as you can. To find a job would be a problem of it´s own, and life would be expensive. If I´m allowed to mention this - life in Europe would certainly be a different one... but new?

I don't think they ALL think we are dumb. But some individuals just give Americans a bad name.I thought until I was 13 all people in England had legit bad teeth. All of them. We can't generalize. Europe is a big place, with many different cultures and countries. Many just don't like our government. That's all. Also, they do tend to think we're all rich. LOL. ^^

You are a typical American! A poor sense of humour! The only European country where most speak English is the UK but surely you must have known that? You can't be that dumb! As for friendliness, for people of all races, the British are usually friendly towards but don't expect a warm welcome if your American. As for the cost of living, it's expensive here and I'm glad because all Americans go to cheap countries and make them too expensive for local people thus creating serious hardship. My advice, stay in America and play with your guns.
