I assume you're running XP?

The answer is... if you are running XP home or XP Pro you can change the language settings BUT they don't do anything to change the language XP operates in.

The only version of XP that is multi-lingual is XP Pro with the multi language extension - that is *only* available on site licenced contracts.

As I found out, the *only* way to do this is to buy a new copy of XP in English. And reinstall XP.

start>control panel>regional and language>select English(United States)

Yes..easiest way is to enter that question in you browser and a website will come up advising y ou of what steps to take....good luck
