I really need to cut my yaupon bushes in front of my house, and i dont mean trimming,i mean cutting all the green off to shape them up.Im in south Ga,and we still have 2 1/2 month left of warm weather and growing time, and i feel they should put out again before its gets cool.Any knowledge or experience on that? Thanks.

Hi:
Unforutunately the proper time to prune the Yaupon Hollies are in the fall. Try and bear with the look for at least a month and a half. I live in South Carolina and the drought that has hit the southeast has been bad. It could damage your hollies if you trim them now in this excessive heat and dry conditions. How old are your Yaupons? They will tend to get woody after a few years.
Take a look at my proper prunning techniques on my website and maybe it will help you out. Always cut the branch or limb at an angle. Hope this helps a little and good luck to you. Try and hang in there until the cooler weather sets in. If you need any more information feel free to contact me.
